Josh Cohen Clinic (Merrick Hall)
Josh Cohen will discuss the realities of getting into the field of playing the Baroque trumpet professionally as well as the demands of performance preparation. Selected trumpeters will be coached in a master class setting. |

Lecture: The Evolution of the Piccolo Trumpet (Merrick Hall)
Festival Director Elisa Koehler will present a lecture-demonstration that considers the question: Is smaller really better? Topics covered will include the keyed bugle, the post horn, the E-flat cornet, pocket cornets, smaller trumpets in orchestral literature, and much more. |

Historic Brass Instrument Petting Zoo (Merrick Hall)
Following a brief introduction by Elisa Koehler of the instruments available, anyone in attendance is welcome to try them out. Sterilizing spray for mouthpieces provided. |
