About Elisa KoehlerA native of Baltimore, Maryland, Elisa Koehler is currently an Associate Professor of Music at Goucher College and the Music Director and Conductor of the Frederick Symphony Orchestra. She earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Orchestral Conducting from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University (Peabody Conservatory) as a student of the late Frederik Prausnitz and as a teaching assistant for Harlan Parker. Also a professional trumpeter and researcher, she maintains an active schedule of appearances and a growing list of publications.
