I am Faith, the mirror of life.

Honored daughters, come to me,

and I shall show you the flowing fountain.       

[i.e., God's grace is metaphorically described as an ever-flowing fountain, but keep it out of Rappaccini's garden unless as an allusion to Genesis!]
