Week 10 Rough Draft Workshop Guide: Tuesday
For the workshop, bring a draft that contains, at minimum, a clearly stated thesis, a functioning title, three paragraphs (at least) linking the evidence to logically support the thesis, and a properly formatted Works Cited section. Work with the Writing Center tutors in order to draw out the significance of the evidence patterns you have found. Explaining it to someone else usually requires you to clarify your own understanding of what you see. If you are having trouble getting the tutors past their unfamiliarity with the movie, try to explain it to another member of the class--you can tutor each other, too. Also, I would be happy to help you figure out the significance of what you have observed.
