Deconstructing Dating

Dear Miss Manners:

When a couple enters a restaurant, is it the man's responsibility to locate the restrooms?

If he is in need of one, yes.  The lady is not going to scout around for him.

1)  What are the privileged and privitive terms in the binary oppositions in the question, including those implied but not explicitly stated?

2)  What ideology or ideologies govern the assignment of privilege?

3)  Can you see a reversal of privilege and/or an excluded middle term, either in Miss Manners' reply or in the discourse system as a whole (in effect, another possible reply)?
