Title Page 1687 vs. 1689: The
title page layouts of both issues are nearly identical with the
exception of the "U" in the 1687 "CHAUCER" on the left that has a
"right leg" with a foot and the 1689 "U" resembles closely this page's
Times New Roman "U" with no leg/foot, and the 5 mm. capitals used
for "London: MDCLXVIII" and the 5 mm. capitals used for the 1689
issue's publication information differ to allow space to list the five
booksellers in the 1689 reissue title page. |
