Schedule | Introduction Just as the Writing Center staff is eager to help students with writing, we also relish the opportunity to help faculty teach writing whenever possible. What can we do for you? Writing Center tutors are available, upon request, to visit classrooms and explain the functions of the Center, or to be present during peer editing and writing sessions as a resource to students. We've had professors request that one writing center tutor work with just students from their classes or be available at a specific time each week. What can we do better? Recent surveys have alerted us that we have failed to accurately represent the Center to faculty. We hope to reverse this failure and establish a strong relationship between tutors and professors. Please refer to the What We Do section of this web site for information on just what the Writing Center is all about. What can you do for us? It would help immensely if you could drop off, send through campus mail, or email your syllabus, any other relevant documentation that you give your students, or the assignments as you give them. That way, if students don't bring their own syllabi or assignment sheets, we'll have a copy here for reference. You can send them to Michelle Tokarczyk through campus mail or email, or you can drop them off at the Center. Contact us If you are interested in scheduling a tutor to work with your class, please contact Michelle Tokarczyk, the writing center director, via email and we will happily schedule such a session. |
