How to Contact Us

How do I arrange to see a Writing Center tutor?

There are many ways to contact the Writing Center tutors. You can call x6551 and make an appointment, or you can just stop by whenever the Center is open. Also, if there is someone in particular you want to see (we're all listed on the Who We Are page), feel free to email that person and request an appointment directly.

What do I need to bring to a tutoring session?

This really depends on what you need to work on. It is always helpful to have a copy of the assignment and the syllabus from the course. If you want help brainstorming, bring any secondary materials related to the paper. If you want help with structure, bring your outline. If you need help editing, bring a rough draft. The more materials you bring, the better equipped we will be to help you.

What is an average session like?

There really is no 'average' session. Each tutor has a different style, and we try to adjust our methods to fit the needs of each student. Essentially, the session can be whatever you want or need it to be.
