Transfer Students—
Depending on their skills, transfers can be placed in English 103, 104, 105, or 106, or they may be given a WAC/Port placement (see Route 6 above). Because transfer students often under-perform on the Writing Placement Essay, it is especially important that they know about the Writing Portfolio as a means of challenging a low placement.
